Church Planter: Dr. Robert Courtney

Website: Medford's Facebook

Address: 108 E Cherokee, Medford, OK

We have begun our Bible Study in Medford, Oklahoma. Initially, we were meeting on a Wednesday night in a home. Now we’re meeting at the Palmer Place in downtown Medford on Sunday nights. Our attendance has jumped from 5 to 18. We are hoping that there might be a church organized by the end of the year, Lord willing. Bob Courtney is leading this plant. We received a $3,500 IFCA Sprague Grant for the purpose of paying our rental fees until the end of this year. Dr. Bob is leading the study. Pray that the Lord will send us a missionary pastor to continue this work.

Ministry Spotlight
Medford, Oklahoma

A needed project in the desire of CSCE to plant Bible churches in the county seats of Oklahoma. Medford is a town of 900 and has only one church that would be like–minded; however, it has fallen on hard times and has dwindled to about 5 in attendance.  The main office of Central States is located in Medford and a Bible church is desired in this town. A Church Planting Pastor is being sought.

The County Seat of Grant County, Medford is located in North Central Oklahoma and sits just 20 minutes west of Interstate 35, 1 hour and 45 minutes north of Downtown Oklahoma City, and 1 hour and 15 minutes south of Wichita, Kansas.

Within close proximity to Medford are larger cities such as Enid and Ponca City, the Caldwell Regional Medical Center, Kaw Lake, Salt Plains State Park, the Waynoka Sand Dunes, and Alabaster Caverns State Park.

Medford is also located along the Historic Chisholm Trail and has the luxury of sitting on the intersection of Highways 81 and 11.
